Dungeons and Dragons Social Groups for Teens
Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is a collaborative tabletop role-playing game where players create unique characters and embark on imaginative adventures together, guided by a storyteller known as the Game Master (GM). Each session involves teamwork, creative problem-solving, and shared storytelling, as players navigate challenges, solve puzzles, and interact with one another in a fantasy world. D&D works well for social groups and therapeutic settings because it naturally encourages communication, cooperation, and empathy. The game provides a safe and structured environment for participants to practise social skills, build confidence, and explore different perspectives, all while having fun and making new friends. Its flexible, story-driven format allows for adaptation to a wide range of support needs and goals.
